Create your gradation with 5″ squares and white fabric. Your squares may be chosen from any of the readily available charm packs, or you may make your own with 5 color-coordinated fat quarters. Using the enclosed pattern, remove the sections that make up your design, and replace those areas with white fabric. Sandwich with batting and backing and stitch.
