How fun is this one? This is a pattern for a quilted wall hanging that measures
47” by 47”. I started with squares that were cut from men’s shirts, and
placed the ends of 16 ties into the blocks. Sashing and borders were added
next. The outer border is made up of pieces of the same ties. This is a
wonderful way to create a memory quilt or surprise someone who has
recently retired.

Hi, Loretta! I plan to put your pattern in the mail bright and early Monday morning! I’m glad you are anxious to get started. :) Anita
P.S. If you would like to share a photo when you are finished, I would love to see it!
Donba –
I love this necktie quilt! With all the ties Michael lead when he died I could probably make 3! Beautiful!
Anita –
Thanks, Donna! You would be surprised at how far the fabric in a tie will go! All of the pieces around the edges of this one came from the 16 ties featured in the middle of the quilt. I have a photo of one that was made like this, but with even more ties. I’ll try to find it and put it on Facebook for you to see. It came out very pretty!

I am so proud of this piece! It’s art at its finest! Thank you so much for this pattern! This piece is made of daddies ties. Just breath taking & stunning! https://pin.it/yxc4fxru2bq5g2quilting to everyone!

Hi, Alex! Were you attempting to share a photo of your quilt? I have clicked on the link and I get nothing! If you do have a photo, please send it to me at my email address. (You are welcome!) :)
Nancy Trimmer –
was wondering if you have to take the tie apart to do the centre pieces, or do you just cut it off to the size you want and sew on the square shirt fabric?
Anita –
Hello, Nancy! You do not have to cut the ties apart to do the center pieces on that quilt. Thanks for your inquiry.
